Clearing a New Path: Creating Opportunities For Returning People
The main goals of this program are to:
- Increase awareness of the issue in the general public
- Increase access to safe, affordable housing and meaningful employment opportunities
- Provide a restorative space for the community and participants.
This series will involve community members, organizations and businesses in a conversation about addressing the stigma associated with a criminal record, the challenges of inaccessibility of housing and employment with a felony record, the community benefits to reducing these barriers, and strategies for addressing these barriers.
We are proud to partner with the United Way of Washtenaw County in clearing a new path and expanding accessibility for people working to move past their record.
